Job Description: Web Analyst

This is an entry- to mid-level position into the field of website analytics for someone who has experience in configuring website analytics platforms, developing custom reports and providing analysis on website statistics.

The Analyst will work closely with business intelligence team and our clients to deliver sophisticated contextually relevant testing and analysis.  These services may include configuring current analytics platforms, implementing new platforms, developing custom reports and key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards, and providing detailed analysis.  The candidate will be trained in all aspects of analytics but is expected to come into the position with some form of experience working with previous analytics platforms and providing analysis of reports.  Additionally, the analyst must continue learning and keep up to date with new and developing platforms and strategies. 

Web Analyst Responsibilities:

• Analyzing website analytics on various platforms, including but not limited to Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends, etc.
• Installation, integration, and support of analytics and business intelligence platforms
• Identifying and diagnosing tracking problems on website analytics platforms
• Innovative testing development for A/B testing or multivariate testing
• Sharp contribution to research for review and publication

Requirements:

• Must be extremely analytical, detail oriented, and team oriented.
• Experience configuring website analytics platforms, developing custom reports and providing analysis on website statistics
• Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Access, plus ODBC would be desired)
• Organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a consultative role with clients
• Problem solving skills: initiative and success in meeting challenges with creative, useful solutions
• Communication Skills - ability to communicate with clients in all formats: verbal, presentation, email, written documents
• Rough understanding of technical language and some legal or policy education

Recommended:

• Analytical skills - the ability to understand how the quantitative relates to the behaviors exhibited
• SEO and Search Engine Marketing experience
• Statistical Modeling as well as other Advanced Decision Math (Bayes Theorem etc.)
